Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Renegade Lights presents another Chicago-Love-born extravaganza! May 26th, 2012, it’s gonna be a veritable “show for the end times”! Come for the music, stay for the apocalypse! (…and if there’s no apocalypse, our music will keep you safe, warm, and in-an-orgasmic-frenzy anyways)
So what say ye! Will ye sit on thy arse and grow morose from the onslaught of the ages and a thousand regrets?! Or….
Will ye attend?!!!!
May 26, 2012
9pm ’til each performer has played to their satisfaction
Location: West side loft (address TBA)
All proceeds beyond expenses will go to helping MEND recoup gear which was stolen during a break-in last summer!
[Disclaimer: Renegade Lights is in no way associated with the apocalypse nor the corporations that own it.]
We did it up in style thanks to Portland renegades:
Deems – http://soundcloud.com/deemsb
Renfield – http://soundcloud.com/renfield-pdx
Toiletooth – http://www.toiletooth.com/
CityMouth – http://soundcloud.com/citymouth
AutomaticThoughts – http://automaticthoughtsmusic.com/
Here’s some glimpses of the magic wielded that night:
First off, a video of Noah (aka 'Talks') aka 'Automatic Thoughts' bringing the house down and raising the roof all at the same time!
Deems came fully prepared with a bottle of water, not because he gets thirsty, but because every time he plays, folks get too hot and bothered by the killer sound, and sometimes he needs to douse them before they pass out from the sheer awesomeness:
And finally, Noah, as you saw in the video, rode out into the middle of the battlefield to taunt our enemies with a resounding chant of “DEATH! DEATH! To the non-bass loving infidels!” before slaying their souls for all of eternity….. ok, ok, at this point i’m going too far with the ‘killing-it’ analogy…. point is, Noah killed it…. once again:
And just as a little extra, here’s a beautiful photo taken by Noah, showing Ella St. with its classic style serving as the perfect backdrop for Renegade Lights. Such a great venue to play at. Portland has a rare gem there:
Thank You Portland for an astoundingly energetic, hardcore-fun, and unforgettable show!
In celebration of our first release ever…
Salud! Benvenuti! Ça Va! Mushi Mushi! Namashkar! Holler!
Come one, come all to the blazinest bassface beatfreak barrage in town! RENEGADE MOTHERPHUCKIN LIGHTS! WHUT!!!!
Our artists will drown your sorrows in a wash of digital-to-analog-then-back-to-digital-and-if-they-feel-like-it-back-to-analog-again mayhem.
The inception of a new era in electronic music: Renegade Lights #1. Renegade Lights Media ignites their shine onto the world of electronic music for the first time with this originally defiant compilation of uniquely skilled artists. The second Renegade Lights show was smoking hot. Held at Il Pirata in San Francisco, the night was lit from open to close. Every performance on the evening’s roster came on at full tilt, the place was packed for the entire evening and the crowd was rowdy and appreciative. Thanks so much to everyone. We love you!

The first Renegade Lights event in San Francisco was a fantastic success, an amazing pocket universe of audible and visual delight. We were the Northern California stop of the Monome Community Tour, and fantastic sets were played by all – Schplingidy, Dolza, Raja, Visinin, Wolf Interval, Nonagon and Edison each brought the noise in their own renegade ways. Working with the music, visuals created by Mattbot, Mediapathic and Cstng-Shdws turned San Francisco’s Space Gallery into a dimension-hopping ship on a voyage to the next reality over.
